The last one for the year, Dr David R. Hawkins’ seminar in Long Beach CA, is entitled “Success”. It’s interesting what the word “success” means for the sage of Dr Hawkins’ calibre. But, this wasn’t the reason why I decided to find the money and attend it. Yes, the cost is quite substantial, if you consider the airfare from Australia to Los Angeles… and other associated costs. However, the “benefits” far outweigh what one has to sacrifice.

Yes, we’re talking here about the “possibly one in a lifetime” chance to be in the presence of an enlightened being, and be exposed to his aura. Not to mention, the average high calibration of the audience, that positively affects everybody. If the opportunity arises to have a photo with Dr Hawkins, that would be truly a remarkable bonus. Still, just to be there will no doubt give me enough power to last for this life, and the lifetimes that the Creator may bless me with. Don’t even dare to ask, when and if another chance will present itself…

There’s one more, or should I say: the main hope for this trip. For the lack of a definition, let’s call it the ability to love God unwaveringly. In life, even the very dedicated spiritual practitioners seem to love God more when the things are going well. And when not everything is going “as planned” we often feel discouraged, as if rebuked by God to whom we pray so much. Consequently, we tend to pray more when the things get tough, and… expect a visible improvement. That, in an essence, is what I want to “clean” out of my mind. As it has all the hallmarks of ego’s logic, one will be much better without it. Help me, Dr Hawkins, nurture and expand my love of God!
