The term “Level of Consciousness” or LOC, has been coined out by Dr. David R. Hawkins, an internationally renowned psychiatrist, physician and researcher.
His many years of work centers on the fields of consciousness research and spirituality. He is devoted to the spiritual evolution of mankind, and continuously participates in seminars and meetings called Satsangs.

LOC calibrations, using kinesiological techniques first discovered by Dr John Diamond, indicate the level of energy of any object, person, life form, phenomenon, teaching, idea, etc. that either existed or exists right now. Future events cannot be calibrated, as they don’t yet have a place in the “universal” recordings of Reality. Suddenly, telling the truth about anything in the past and presence becomes very easy.

There are certain limitations as to who and how can LOC measurement be conducted; suffice to say, the objective behind the testing must be integrous. This precludes about 78% of the population from doing it. The scale of 1 to 1000 used to measure LOC is of the logarithmic nature (LOC=2 is 10 times greater than LOC=1). The starting point at 1 is the result for the simplest life forms (protoplasm, bacteria, etc.) The highest level recorded for a human form is 1000; that of Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster and other Avatars.

There are some critical points on the LOC scale:
200 denote the threshold of Truth. Anything that’s below it is not integrous (false) and consumes spiritual energy. Above that, the source feeds its energy into the collective level of consciousness.
Another important level, at 500, is where the domain of Love starts, with the non-linear content taking on a more important role.
It profoundly changes the essence of living at 600 where a person’s “self” becomes “Self” at the Enlightenment begins.
Currently, in 2009, the Earth population calibrates at 205.
