Are You Afraid of Death?

Unless you’re one of those few living humans we call enlightened, you certainly are scared to death… to even think about your last moments in this life.
But, it doesn’t have to be like that. All it takes is a profound paradigm switch, and you’re freed from the frightening thoughts of “what will happen to me one second after my last gasp”.

Various religions offer vastly diverse “explanations” as to the process of dying and answering the question “what happens after?”
My personal favorite is an explanation provided by the Tibetan Buddhism, which on the surface is very different from my faith Roman Catholicism’s position. However, if you take time and look beyond some apparent conflicts, there are many commonalities. This is true for all major religions.

So, why you need not be afraid of dying? Because the moment that you leave this “life” of yours is nothing more than a “change of body” that affects only your “self”. Your “Self” being created eternal by God’s love, carries on. Yes, a new “self” will be given to you, together with another chance to perfect your “Self” as mapped by your karmic inheritance.
The more you love God, the less power the illusion that the Real You can die will have over you.
